For spaces where a flue is impossible or building work is unwelcome, an electric fireplace is the most practical answer. Plug it in and it works.
Our 3D flame-effect models look remarkably close to the real thing, and heater versions warm the room as well.
With or without a heater
Heated models generally include a 1000–2000 W fan heater, enough to warm a room in the shoulder seasons. Unheated models are purely visual, use very little electricity and can run all year round. On heated models the flame effect and the heater switch on and off independently.
Where they are chosen
- Apartments where a flue cannot be built
- Offices, shops and hotel lobbies
- Rented homes — no permanent alterations required
- Smaller spaces such as bedrooms and studies
What is the 3D flame effect?
It is a system that gives the flame depth using water vapour or optical reflection. Unlike classic LED-strip models, the flame still looks three-dimensional when viewed from an angle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it raise my electricity bill much?
With only the flame effect running, consumption is about that of a light bulb — very low. With the heater on it uses as much as any electric heater. Since the two switch independently, the choice is yours.
Is a flue or pipework needed?
No. It runs from a standard socket and needs neither flue nor gas line. Wall-mounted models simply need a sound surface to fix to.
Does the flame look realistic?
On 3D-effect models it is very convincing. If you are unsure, you can see the models running in our showroom.
