You no longer stock and carry wood, empty ash, or have the flue swept several times a year. You set the flame level from the remote and switch it off as you leave the room. Heating starts immediately; there is none of the waiting while a wood fire takes hold.
Balanced-flue models draw combustion air from outside rather than from the room and vent directly outdoors. They therefore consume no room air and can be used safely in modern, well-sealed buildings.
The gas connection must be made by an authorised firm and a gas project must exist. We install the appliance, and the gas is commissioned with the approval of your regional distribution company.
